IT’S Official The British Creative Dog grooming championships IS GOING ONLINE!

We miss you all so much, so we’ve decided to reach out and spread creative magic to all the amazing Groomers worldwide. 

Our incredible panel of judges consist of GIANTS in our industry, and they are ready to share their awesome experience and feedback.

Each class and division will will have it’s own Facebook group where only judge and Contestants will have access to until after judging except for the Grooming MATTers class which will be a public vote on a post I put on the events page. Please message your pictures to this page.

 

£10 for the Grooming MATTers class.

£25 per entry. Payment can be made via;

After payment is received, you will be invited to you specific FB group where you can post your photos up until March 31st at 6pm. Winning placements and best in show will be announced the following week on Wednesday 7th April.

 

If you have an entry outstanding from last year's cancelled show I will be contacting you soon but if you don't here please message the page.

Maximum of 20 entries per class. 

Photos must include-

Before- Profile left/right, front, rear, top, and face.

After- Profile left/right, front, rear, and side/front close up of head.

A short video of the finish dog is allowed if wanted but not necessary.

It is not permissible to use photoshop, and/or filters.

Make one post with all photos, not in a photo collage please.

Please post your full name, country of origin, products used, if you are novice or experienced in your listing.



All class entries are non refundable as a not for profit show all money is used to put on a great day.

Please note, there is novice and open/experienced classes for all apart from Model Dog and Grooming MATTers class.

Unfortunately we will not have a junior class this year.

1st to 3rd place will receive a rosette, best in show and reserve best in show will have prizes to be confirmed

Rules and Class descriptions


Carving

Description:
Carving a design onto a pre-prepared, clear coat with no previous design carved into it.
You may use clippers, scissors or trimmers to create the design. Although colour may be added prior to the competition, it must not be added during the competition and neither will it make a difference to the judging decision.

Novice class, for those who have never competed, or not placed in creative classes before
Experienced class, for those who have placed in previous creative competitions.



Blank Canvas/salon creative


Blank canvas, also known as salon creative,  using stencils or freehand techniques to add tattoo's, patterns, touches of colour and other creative embellishments that you could incorporate into your salon.

All colouring to be done on the day.
Products used must be non-toxic and Skin safe.
Only minimal scissor trimming allowed.
Any breed of dog can be used.
Bling, feathers, chalk, blopens and airbrushing are all permissible.

Novice class, for those who have never competed, or not placed in creative classes before
Experienced class, for those who have placed in previous creative competitions.



Extreme Creative



The only limitation, other than the safety and welfare of the dog, is your imagination and creative talents.
Colouring and basic shaping can be done prior to the class but finishing colour and styling should be done during the class.
There must be a discernable difference in the dog from the start to the finish of the class.
The dog must be able to move freely whilst wearing their style
all products used must be non-toxic and skin safe. The use of lightening products is not permitted.
All competitors given 15 minutes at the end of the class to prepare their staging ready to present their art to the audience.

Experienced class, for those who have placed in previous creative competitions.



Asian Fusion

Dogs must have sufficient coat for a discernable change, .
Minimal colour, accessories are allowed, dogs must be clean and have no tangles in the coat.

 All grooming techniques i.e. scissoring, clipping, hand stripping and thinning are allowed.

Novice class, for those who have never competed, or not placed in creative classes before
Experienced class, for those who have placed in previous creative competitions.



Model Dog

Let your imagination run wild,anything goes.

Buy your model dog head or full body, create your masterpiece at home and just bring it with you to display.

Grooming MATTers


Items received from 9am, no entries will be accepted after 11am

Almost anything goes, this is a pre-groomed/created class.
Wire frames, colour, accessories and a bundle of imagination can be used.
The piece must be made up predominately from matted hair.
